Mind of a K9 Board & Train programs give dogs a more structured training experience while they stay in one of our trainers’ homes. Dogs become part of daily home life while working on obedience, manners, socialization, and real-world training skills.
Each program includes follow-up training after the Board & Train stay to help owners continue the work at home.
How Board & Train Works
Board & Train gives your dog focused training time while staying in one of our trainers’ homes, not in a kennel-style facility. During the program, dogs become part of daily home life while working on obedience, manners, socialization, and real-world training skills.
What Happens After Your Dog Comes Home
After the Board & Train stay, each program includes follow-up support such as private lessons, day training, group classes, and/or playgroup time. These follow-up services help owners understand what their dog has learned and continue building on that progress at home. Owners are responsible for scheduling follow-up day training, private lessons, group classes, and playgroup time after the Board & Train portion is complete.
Behavior Modification
Behavior modification is for dogs who need help with more challenging behaviors, such as reactivity, fearfulness, leash issues, impulse control, or other concerns. We work with you and your dog to build calmer responses and better communication.

The Associates
7-Day Board & Train
A good starting option for dogs of any age who are new to training and need to build a basic foundation. The follow-up lesson, class, day training, and playgroup time help owners continue the work after their dog comes home.
The Bachelors
14-Day Board & Train
A good fit for dogs who already know some basics but need more practice, structure, and confidence around distractions. This option includes a longer stay and more follow-up support after the board-and-train portion is complete.
The Masters
21-Day Board & Train
Mind of a K9’s most popular Board & Train option. This program is designed for dogs with little training experience or dogs working through behavior issues who need a stronger foundation and continued support.
The PhD
35-Day Board & Train
The most extensive Board & Train option, designed for dogs who need a longer training plan and more follow-up support after they return home. This program may be a fit for dogs with more complex training needs.
