Basic Dog Training Programs
Basic dog training programs for Richmond-area dogs and families
Mind of a K9 basic programs combine day training, private lessons, and group classes for dogs who need help building everyday obedience, manners, focus, and confidence.
These programs give your dog more practice, structure, and owner support than a single class or lesson alone.
How Basic Programs Work
Choose the mix of training support that fits your dog
Some basic programs focus on day training and private lessons, while others include group classes for dogs who need practice around people, dogs, and everyday distractions.
If you’re not sure which program makes sense, we’ll help you choose.
Behavior Modification
Behavior modification is for dogs who need help with more challenging behaviors, such as reactivity, fearfulness, leash issues, impulse control, or other concerns. We work with you and your dog to build calmer responses and better communication.
